Turned around ailing graphic design firm into profitable, integrated, strategic branding agency, achieving profitability with 23% increase in net operating cash flow, annual revenues of $1.7 million and sustaining 16% organic growth.
Recruited by the owner to breathe new life into his ailing design agency. Due to years of mismanagement, among other challenges, debt was at an all time high, billings were down, business development activities were inconsistent with pitch conversion/hit rates weak, and the firm lacked overall strategic focus. In addition, the Middle East market was rapidly changing and the agency had not safeguarded itself against the trend of disappearing “creative boutiques”.
Diagnosed weaknesses/opportunities and put into action short-term wellness and long-term growth plans. Identified a relatively untapped growth area and played an integral role in maturing Artograph (a purely graphic design agency) to Artobrand (a comprehensive 360-degree branding consultancy). Drove the corporate repositioning and total operational evolution, negotiated with suppliers, creditors and banks and curbed spiraling debt. Forged strategic alliances and ignited marketing efforts to expand the client base across borders into new regional markets and industry sectors. Led client service and hands-on managed principal accounts.
Doubled the agency’s pitch hit/conversion rate and regained its positive reputation. Increased net operating cash flow by 23%, shifting firm from red to black with annual revenues of $1.7 million, sustaining 16% organic growth.
