Started up branding/creative agency for multi-national holding company and reached breakeven in Q3, expanding business 12% to $.6 million during inaugural year.
Approached by multi-national holding company to start up and run a new brand-focused creative agency in Bahrain. With an extremely modest startup capital base (approx. $30,000), could afford minimal in-house creative staff, equipment and resources. In addition, the new firm, with zero reputation, was stepping into a highly competitive marketplace competing with established agencies.
Simultaneously funded, positioned, branded, staffed and realized full operation within 45 days. Managed all legal formalities of establishing the business in a foreign country, devised unique brand strategy, visual identity system and office interiors. Hired and trained in-house staff. Established a supplementary virtual creative team across Cape Town, Dubai, London and Singapore. Pitched aggressively, led client service and directed all projects from inception to delivery.
Successfully kept initial operating costs at a minimum, expanded business by 12% with the new agency grossing approx. $.6 million and operating in black during its inaugural year. By Q3, the company was breaking even – laying a solid foundation for promising future growth.
